In: an official text> official instructions Company> The unions educator CEL For teachers review in November 1964 During the long history of our movement we had on several occasions to take stock of our place in the educational complex, labor, administrative, social, philosophical and political time. Obviously, if the principles and data remain the same through the years, the details of evolution vary with the currently contingencies if the mobile environment.
Where are we today and what are the prevailing situation? – We have experienced these days, some formalization we examine the consequences in the context of our relations with the NIS. – The problem of our relations with the Catholic teachers was recently raised in our motion, and the discussion was initiated in Life Skills. We will try to clarify the implications – and these discussions will lead us naturally to define the fate we want and can do in our recent manifesto of Modern School.
The presentation that we will do these questions was certainly prepared by our discussions in the days of Vence and the controversies that continue in Life Skills, cultural magazine served exclusively to managers and workers and which replaces this year the Chronicle of ICEM We do not claim hastily bring a final solution, the debate continues. I add that this focus remains for now under my own responsibility.
I do not want to engage the movement on important issues where no official decision has yet been taken. We gladly publish comments comrades who did not agree, the recent ministerial circulars recommend officially unnamed, our teaching and our techniques. We know that the official circulars for transition classes and master classes formally recommend our teaching and our techniques and, at the same time, our Freinet School is recognized as experimental school.
These are two important events, some will surely avail to accentuate their unconditional opposition to our movement. We have to put it bluntly. The goal of all our efforts for forty years has been experimenting with new working techniques in the hope that they might one day be adopted by the mass of schools and teachers. It is not when the administration recognizes the value of these techniques and the need to recommend, first, to certain categories of schools that we say; we do not want that!
We wanted it all together, and not just us, obscure artisans Modern School, but with us, all dedicated researchers, all organizations whose improvement homeworkmarket.com plagiarism
of popular education is the primary concern.
